FESTIVE RADIO RUNNINGS ON NOODS

You can catch eight hours of Join The Future on Noods Radio over the festive season. Matt Anniss returns to the airwaves with our final show of 2021 on Sunday December 19th – a two-hour excursion that airs between 20:00 and 22:00 GMT.

December’s show is packed with music old and new. Unlike our other shows, which feature a mixture of interviews, talk recordings, mini documentaries, this edition is almost entirely made up of killer cuts. In the first hour of the show, you can expect new releases and reissues from throughout 2021, plus vintage cuts and even a smattering of material due for release in early 2022. Hour two of the show features an extended trawl through the archives of Network Records to celebrate the recent release of the Birmingham-based label’s latest Bio rhythm compilation release, which features liner notes from Matt and is the first collection in the series since the first two sets dropped back in 1990.

Then on New Year’s Day, 1st January 2022, Noods is repeating the six-hour Join The Future takeover which was first broadcast in the Spring of 2021 (12:00-18:00). Split into five episodes broadcast back-to-back, the takeover tells the story of Bleep & Bass – from roots and origin to development and legacy – via a mixture of documentary style packages, new and old interviews, and DJ mixes. Featured guests include JD Twitch, Central Processing Unit’s CP Smith, Haider, Porter Brook, Titia, Rob Gordon, West Norwood Cassette Library and Peter Duggal. You can find out more about the takeover and listen to individual episodes on demand via our dedicated page.
