Since September 2019, branded Join The Future events have been taking place in cities across the UK and as far afield as Calgary in Canada. These are run in association with local promoters and can take a number of forms:

• ‘In conversation’ sessions featuring JTF founder Matt Anniss in discussion with an interviewer
• Talks by Matt Anniss on the story told in Join The Future: Bleep Techno and the Birth of British Bass Music, or specific aspects of the culture
• Parties/club events with DJs and live performers
• Panel discussions hosted by Matt Anniss

In addition, Matt Anniss also represents Join The Future as a speaker, host and panellist at festivals and conferences. He also performs Join The Future DJ sets, which include a combination of historic music featured in the book, unreleased material and contemporary music that draws on similar sounds and influences.
